"For the one who let the wild be." This piece was influenced by the Anna Lee Davis. She was one of the people instrumental in the creation of the Great Smokey Mountain National Park.
Picture
"The Moral Prowess" In the rugged heart of the Appalachian mountains lived a woman whose spirit mirrored the tenacity of the clematis—seemingly delicate, yet able to thrive in demanding conditions with precise balance and care. Her moral beauty shone through quiet kindness and mental resilience, adapting gracefully to hardship rather than yielding to it. Rooted deeply in her land and lineage, she stood as living proof that strength and beauty can bloom in the most unforgiving places.
Picture
"The Friend" She carried the soft, golden warmth of a buttercup, her laughter and presence making the world feel instantly brighter. A true friend to all, she had a gift for easing hearts, drawing people in with genuine kindness, empathy, and an infectious joy. Like sunlight in bloom, her spirit inspired others to embrace happiness, celebrating their joys as deeply as her own.
Picture
"For the Sunshine Lady" Her final wish was simple and heartbreaking—to never rest in darkness—so her husband built her a glass casket veiled for protection yet open to the light. When *Time* magazine shared her story, crowds poured into the Hendersonville cemetery, and the city, overwhelmed by the spectacle, sealed the tomb in asphalt, condemning her to the very darkness she feared. This piece is an act of reclamation, created so the Sunshine Lady may once again exist in light.

"The Idealistic" Like heirloom roses rooted in mountain soil, she embodies a rare balance of resilience and fragility—weathered by storms yet retaining a quiet, delicate beauty. Her thorned defenses protect a tender core, and those who draw close discover a warmth and depth shaped by generations of Appalachian lineage. In her, ancient mountain endurance meets modern sensitivity, a living testament to tradition tended with reverence and strength.
Picture
"The Practioner" In the timeless forests of the Cherokee homeland, a young woman stood beneath a Dogwood tree, her eyes heavy with sorrow and the weight of her people’s suffering. Within its delicate yet resilient branches, she felt a quiet awakening, learning that true healing rises from deep within the soul. From that moment on, she became a beacon for her people—rooted in compassion, strengthened by nature, and blossoming into a healer whose spirit could withstand any storm.
Picture
"The Lionhearted" Raised in the rugged Appalachian mountains, this lionhearted woman once left her holler to seek opportunity beyond the only home she had known. No matter how far she traveled, the call of her family and mountains drew her back, her heart fierce with the instinct to protect those she loved. Like purple irises blooming on steep hillsides, she returned stronger for the journey, becoming a steadfast pillar of resilience, devotion, and Appalachian strength.
Picture"For the Peacemaker" This piece is inspired by the life of **Nanyahi (Nancy Ward)**, a revered Cherokee leader known for her role as a Beloved Woman. Through wisdom and courage, she worked to broker peace between the Cherokee people and incoming settlers in the Kingsport, Tennessee region. Her legacy endures as a testament to diplomacy, strength, and the power of choosing dialogue over conflict.
